Open for Inspection - Covid Style

For the health and safety of our vendors, our agents and potential buyers, inspections and open homes will be conducted under strict conditions in compliance with the current health orders that are in place as the State works its way through the latest Covid outbreak.

Here’s a quick catch up with Michael as he runs through the open home requirements for this weekend and probably the next few until things have settled or change once again:

First Things First

If you have even the mildest of cold and flu symptoms, please do not attend an inspection or open home.

If you currently reside in one of the areas that are under lockdown, have been in a Covid hotspot or visited anywhere in the Greater Sydney region since 21 June 2021 please do not attend our inspections or open homes.

We strongly encourage people from out of the area and from the areas currently locked down to book a Facetime (or Skype, Zoom etc) consultation with us first. With travel being restricted we can make sure you are able to view a property without too much fuss. If you’re still interested in the property after the video viewing, then we can make arrangements for personal inspections depending upon current health orders at the time.

Also, we would ask that only people who are seriously considering purchasing property attend our open homes. If you are particularly interested in a property and would like the opinion of a family member or friend, our agents will happily arrange a private inspection to allow them to view at a later time.

At the Open Home

Please arrive wearing an approved face mask & sanitise your hands before entering.

An agent will check you in via a QR Code and will also ask to see your licence as proof of address.

Social distancing must be maintained and the agent will monitor and, when necessary, limit the number of people inside the property at any one time to comply with the 4 square metre rule. You may be asked to wait outside for a short time, but we will ensure that everyone has the opportunity to inspect the home.

Where possible please enter through the front of the property and exit from the back as directed.

While inside please refrain from touching surfaces, eg light switches and door knobs. If you would like to look inside a cupboard or closed space, please let the agent know and they will open it for you.

Lastly, Thank You!

This is another time of upheaval and uncertainty that we are all experiencing and at times probably find frustrating, scary and stressful. So, we thank you for your cooperation as we all work together (sometimes on the fly to keep up with the changing conditions!) to keep everyone safe and well.

PS In case you’re wondering, “REI” that was mentioned by Michael in the video is the Real Estate Institute of NSW and they are fantastic at giving real estate agencies and agents guidance and industry advice through all the changes as they happen.
